How to get there & park
Go to Fort William then head south on the A82 for 8 miles to the
Corran Ferry. Across the ferry take the A861 to Strontian, 13
miles. At Strontian cross the bridge and turn right to Polloch.
This is known locally as the "lead mines road"; not for the faint
hearted! Once you reach the village of Polloch there is a car
park next to the old forest office. GRID REFERENCE NN792688
Description
On the way over the hill on the descent to Polloch, stop at
the view point. There is a small car park on the right and a
short walk. This leads to a view down to Loch Doilet, a gem. From
Polloch there is a sign posted walk along the forest road which
after a mile or so leads to a path through the wood to a view
point looking down Loch Shiel.
Footwear
Shoes will almost do.
Gradients & terrain
A little bit of uphill through the wood to the view point but
otherwise flat.
