How to get there & park

Go towards Fort William after 3 miles at a roundabout turn left up Glen Nevis. One mile up the glen there is a forest road on the right - sign posted Braveheart Car park. This small car park was used by the film crew during the making of the film Braveheart and with the help of the film company was landscaped after they had finished so that it can be used by the public for parking and picnicing. Description of walks

From the car park there are two or three possibilities. Walk along the forest road, for about half a mile. At this point the road crosses a path leading up the hill known as the Peat Track. To do the wishing stone circuit turn left down the hill where the path leads onto the Glen Nevis road. Turn left onto the road and walk back along the foot path past the Wishing Stone and back to the car park. The walk can be done in less than half an hour.
